Second meeting of Working Group 1 on Access to Justice and Legal Aid, Marseille, 12-14 June 2012

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

This meeting takes place under the first component of the EuroMed Justice III project: Access to Justice and Legal Aid. The objective of this activity will be to prepare a handbook which identifies and describes possible approaches and best practices to improve access to justice and legal aid. This is the second of 5 meetings related to this issue. 

During this second meeting we will continue the work started on the occasion of the first meeting and will have a new opportunity to share the international experts’ opinion and the participants’ approach on the main topics under discussion from their own perspective and respective competences. Through an in-depth and detailed discussion, we will have a real and open discussion on the main topic addressed during this second meeting: length of procedures, delays and timeframe for judicial proceedings.
